As far as mounting gates go, this one is very nice for the cost. Our children are hard on gates, and, until they were old enough to figure out how to try to swing on it, it held up very nicely. Easy enough to mount as well. Hope this is helpful!

The wood gate extension is well worth the cost. I got this about a month ago and it was easy to install and the safety it provides is very good. I hightly recommend this one!
