I guess I'm just a stick in the mud but I prefer to just use my food processor in the rare event I feel the need to pulverize my food. This just sits unloved in my cabinet. If you don't have a foodpro and want you make your own baby mush this is awesome for you but it just didn't suit our needs.

Not a necessity, your money would be better spent getting a general food mill that is slightly larger in size for a wider variety of uses in your kitchen.
Alternatives are better

These are other similar appliances on the market which are more usable than this Electric food mill marketed for making baby food. This is actually very similar to the Magic Bullet blending system which is about the same price, but much more usable and comes with a lot more options. It is great to make your own baby food, but I'd go with something over than this one.

I used my daughters at her house. I honestly like my food processor better. That is just one more piece of equipment to keep up with .
Waste of money

These are a waste of money. A blender will do the exact same thing AND you can make much larger batches. Why spend money on one more item and then have to find room for it?

If you have a food processor stick with that.
The lid gets stuck easily. And I don't know if it's changed in the last few years, but there is no on/off switch, so the second you plug it in it starts going and you have to unplug it to make it stop, which is extremely annoying, probably pretty dangerous, and near impossible with a baby in your arms. Besides, it's not any easier to clean than a food processor, so if you have one you don't need this. And if you don't have one, consider buying one instead of this anyway.
It broke

I used this thing a few times and then the lid broke. You have to align it just right which can be really hard and even if you think you have it on right it probably isn't. Also, I had to water down the food too much and cut the food up into tiny pieces just to get the motor to be able to chop the food up. Definitely not worth it!
Flimsy

Blender works just as well. This kept breaking or was too hard to actually use.

Meh, we got this as a gift, not sure how it differs from a food processor, we have now two extra if you want one!
Not as user-friendly as I had hoped

I was really set on making baby food for my son and bought this as a first step. I found that this was really frustrating. Even though things aren't that hard to clean, it took to much time for a new, and a bit overwhelmed mother. I ended up using my normal kitchen food processor.
The one thing I ended up using this machine for when I had a meal at Grandma's. Other than that, it really didn't suit my needs as I wanted to take a bit of our food and blend it. rn
Not a necessary purchase

I bought one of these with my first child and only used it a couple of times. I thought it was too small to make enough baby food to make it worth it. I preferred to use my food processor. It was larger and easier to clean in my opinion.
A Powerful Little Machine, but Won't Rival a Real Food Processor

This processor was nice to have around because the parts are so small to stick in the dishwasher repeatedly. My real food processor does a speedier job, and pulverizes food a bit better, but is also a monster to wash.
This one does the trick of breaking the food down for making your own baby food, but it won't get it as fine as commercial baby food (unless perhaps you run it through a sieve). However, I liked giving my baby a bit more texture since she became accustomed to table food very rapidly. I'm not sure it was for that reason, but it had to have helped.
It does vibrate your arm a good bit since you have to hold down the button the whole time. Just think of it as a mini massage! :)
Overall, if you are making your own large batches of baby food and want something electric, this would be a good choice. However, I've found the manual Kidco food mill worked much better (but only does a small amount of food at a time).
Not as good as I hoped.

I made most of my son's food in my big food processor because this little thing didn't work out quite like I'd hoped. It was more of a pain that its worth.

I think this is not worth the money. It is much easier to use your kitchen food processor or a manual chopper. It didn't have the oomph I was looking for.

Id suggest getting a small food processor, or a different product. I kind of makes a mess and squishes

After being super disappointed in the manual version, I figured I just needed to invest in the electric. I think it actually worked worse than the manual and was ridiculously difficult to clean. Definitely not easy or convenient for a new mother. It would not grind the food to a smooth enough consistency for my son. I was really disappointed again.

What a wonderful product! I love that I have complete control over what my little ones are eating, and all of the ingredients that are being put on their plates! Works wonderfully, very easy to clean, and stores great too!

This is great for quick, easy meal preparation. You definitely couldn't chop raw vegetables, but cooked veggies can be chopped. Definitely easy to use and easy to clean!
Love it!

The machine itself is much smaller than a normal food processor, but is the perfect size for making baby food. Does a great job pureeing! I have been using mine for 2 years and it still works perfectly!
